  10. This website contains two databases; one is an index of over 23,000 Welsh merchant seamen covering the period 1800 to 1945 and the other is a database of over 3,000 Welshmen in the Royal Navy between 1795 and 1815.

Free information includes a surname dictionary, surname histories, place name database taken from the '1851 General Alphabetical Index to the townlands and towns, parishes and baronies of Ireland' and passenger lists.   87. Select Passenger index to search the database of over 800,000 names of passengers arriving in Fremantle between Jan 1921 and Jan 1950. You will need to log in first or search as a guest user. You can also use Name Search and select Immigration and Naturalisation Records to find information on people arriving in Australia. For example, many arrivals under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme can be found in this way.
