  1. The history of occupational pensions within the United Kingdom. Collections in the Pensions Archive include:

business records focusing on the details of how pension schemes were operated,
records of Non-Governmental organisations connected with pensions management, oversight, development and advice, including the records of national pension bodies such as the National Assocation of Pension Funds and the Society of Pension Consultants,
papers from individuals who were involved in the administration or oversight of pension schemes, and
    printed material from personal libraries.
Additional material relating to pensions is included within other collections at the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA), where the Pensions Archive is based. Pensions material can be found across the LMA's collections, predominantly in its extensive collections of business archives but also in local authority records for the Corporation of London, in court records and within charity archives. Read about records relating to the Royal Naval pension scheme in the Middlesex Sessions archive.
